2007 Town Budget Tax Levy Shows 4% Year to Year Decline

The Town Board adopted the 2007 Town Budget Monday with a 6% increase in appropriations but the tax levy is down 4% because $600,000 in reserves were applied to the budget to reduce taxes. The 2007 tax rate is 44.5 cents per $1,000 assessed valuation on Homestead properties and 53.7 cents on non-Homestead properties.

Town 9/11 Memorial Fund Still Short $60,000, But New $40,000 Grant Will Pay for Plantings
