Preliminary 2007-08 School Budget Has 7.79% Increase in Tax Levy

Homestead Tax Rate Projected at $15.33

Atax levy increase of 7.79% with a Homestead tax rate of $15.33 per $1,000 assessed value is proposed in the preliminary school budget for 2007-2008 presented to the School Board this week by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles Wilson.

  • 9:00-10:30am—Board of Education and Central Administration; Operations and Maintenance; Contractual Expenses
  • 10:30-11:00am—Curriculum Development and Improvement
  • 11:00 to Noon—Pupil Transportation, Community Services and Undistributed Expenditures
  • Noon to 1:00pm – Lunch Break
  • 1:00-4:00pm—Teaching (Regular Instruction including class size), Special Education, Instructional Media, Building Security, Guidance and Health, Psychology and Athletics
