Deborah Morgan, 61
Deborah Morgan, a real estate sales agent for many years with C.S. McClellan in Pelham, died on July 12, 2010 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 61.
She had been living in Quogue and Mt. Vernon.
Survivors include her husband, John Morgan, and sons Matthew, 25, and Tyler, 21. Also surviving are her mother MaryJane Osborne, and sisters Stephanie Phillips and Jacqueline Osborne.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Southampton Hospital to MaryJane and Nelson Cook Osborne Jr. and grew up in Westchester County and East Hampton. She graduated from East Hampton High School in 1967, Elmira College in Elmira, NY in 1971, and began her career in market research at Columbia Records in 1972 .
Mrs. Morgan started spending summers in Quogue in 1977 and quickly established her prowess as a superb athlete, competing in the games of golf, tennis, croquet and also bridge. She was a member of the Quogue Field Club, The Quogue Beach Club and the Shinnecock Yacht Club.
After a long courageous battle with cancer, “Mimi,” as she was called by her sons, finally succumbed to the disease, surrounded by her family.
A Funeral Mass was held on July 16 at the Church of Immaculate Conception in Quogue. Memorial donations are being made to Bide-a-Wee, 118 Old Country Road, Westhampton, New York 11977.
